New Year’s greetings in the Name of the Lord Jesus!

Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
— 1 John 5:5

Well, we are at the start of a New Year and the possibilities are endless for ministry opportunities! We have a full calendar this year with nine confirmed crusades and a tenth in the works at the Eastham Unit. The chaplain is new there and said he has heard good things about the ministry and would like us to come be a part of the Lord’s work on the unit. Speaking of the Eastham Unit many of you know that my mother and Paul minister there and that my mother had a series of strokes this past October. She is still paralyzed on her right side and is still in a rehabilitation facility, and will be until March. Please keep Jeri Carlin in your prayers, that the Lord might heal her body and that she would regain some mobility.

Our crusade at the Gurney Unit last month went very well and was very fruitful as anticipated. The Lord made His presence known and about sixty men prayed to receive Christ as savior! We were able to baptize about sixteen men during the Sunday morning service. The chaplain there is a committed Christian (not all of them are!), and he enlists the men in a follow-up discipleship course after they make a profession of faith. In the 2018 calendar year they had 2900 professions of faith on the unit, WOW! God really is at work in these prisons and I believe the moving of the Spirit will be even greater this year.

We have also been to the women’s prisons in Dayton four times in the past five weeks with about sixty decisions at those two units as well. As I noted after the women’s prison crusade in October, many of the ladies are writing and requesting the follow-up literature, which is a good indication of a true desire to follow the Lord. I can’t stress enough the overwhelming need in these units, men and women’s, for counselors to bring them the good news of salvation in Christ and to demonstrate this message with our presence there for the weekend. We can tell them God loves them but they won’t truly believe until they see that demonstrated through our actions.

Details for our February Crusade can be found on the crusade events page. We will be in the prisons thirty two different times this year, my prayer is that you will carve out some time in your schedule to come and be with us. Let’s not expend all of our time simply doing good things when we can be doing the best things for the Kingdom of God!

Your continued prayers for me and Deb are appreciated as well. We have an ordeal that has been ongoing for a year now in which the enemy has been relentless in his accusations and fiery darts. Please pray that the Lord will have mercy and that God’s mighty power will deliver. I can’t elaborate right now but I know there are prayer warriors that get this letter, your intercession is most needed at this time.

Thank you to all that support us financially as well, may the Lord richly bless you for your faithfulness to give!

I hope to see you in February.
Blessings in Christ,
Brad, Debi, and Family
